Andrew Wheating, a two-time Olympian representing Nike Oregon Track Club Elite, placed sixth in his 1,500-meter semifinal heat in 3:44.73 to qualify sixth overall for the final at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
