Discus Qualifying – 61.00m is the auto mark.

 

60.74 for Kelsey Card in Discus qualifying in the opening throw of the competition. She leads the first flight after the first round. She passes her second attempt.

 

Tera Novy is second after the first round with a 59.28 and Allman third with 58.46m. No one improved in the second round. Summers and Garcia have yet to throw a legal mark.

Summers and Garcia open the third round with legal marks. Summers only gets the disc out to 47.37, but Garcia throws 54.87m to move up to 7th in the flight. Card passed again, but is the only thrower to surpass 60 meters.

Maroszek improves in round 3 with a 56.46. Daniels also improves with a 56.94m. Podominick improves to 55.76 and Ewen improves to 55.73 to close out the first flight.

Women's High Jump. Two pits are going simultaneously.1.93m is the auto mark to go to the final. Opening height is 1.74m

Amy Acuff clears opening height. She is 40 and a 5-time Olympian.

Both pits have moved to their second height of 1.79m. Dakota Dailey-Harris and Sara Almen both no-heighted at 1.74m. Ty Butts and Loretta Blaut cleared on their second attempts. McPherson, Cunningham, Lowe and Fagan passed. All others were over on their first attempt.

 

Cunningham clears 1.79 on her first attempt. McCoy, Boyer and Butts also over on first attempts. Lowe over as well. Acuff knocks the bar off. Evans and Bloch-Jones both fail first attempts. McPherson is the only jumper to pass 1.79m.

 

 

Pressley, Smith and Fagan clear 1.79 on second attempts. Acuff also clear on second attempt.

 

Evans clears on her third attempt of 1.79.

 

Bar moves up to 1.84m. Live results are not updating.

 

Boyer misses on her first attempt. Pressley also misses. Pretty breezy in the stadium. Smith is the first to clear. Blaut knocks the bar off. Boyer and Bloch-Jones also miss.

 

 

 

Fagan misses, but Paterson makes it. Evans and Mason also miss. Butts misses. Lowe, McPherson, Cunningham and Smith are also clear. This may be the height they need to qualify for the final, but still many athletes still to jump.

 

 

Boyer misses her second attempt. Pressley clears on her second attempt, but Bloch-Jones misses for a second time. Fagan also with a second miss. Blaut lands on the bar hard in her second attempt. Evans...knocks it off on the way down.

 

6 women have cleared 1.84. Mutts misses on her second attempt. Evans also now has 3 misses. Jackson clears on seconds. Fagan clear on her third. Whitehorn clear on second. Pilgrim clears on 3rd. McCoy and Mason are finished. Acuff does not advance. Will not contend for a sixth Olympic spot.

11:00 - The first event of Tracktown16 is the qualifying for the men's shot put. Two rings will be throwing simultaneously to cut the field of 24 down to 12 for the final. 20.50m is auto qualifying distance.
